Machine Opening & Closing Procedures 

Opening 

  • Place your machine on production mode. 

  • Wait for all four segments of your operations mode icon to be complete. 

  • Dispense 1 full Smooch cup of ice cream and discard. 

  • Clean your hopper lid (Hand wash with detergent, and then sanitise) 

  • Clean the outside of your machine including the machine interface, drip tray, and overflow. 

  • Clean and sanitise your machine handle. 

  • Clean and sanitise the ice cream exit point. 

 

Closing 

  • Place your machine on conserve mode. 

  • Check the level of your mix and top up the machine if you can see the low-level sensor inside. 

  • Clean the outside of your machine including the machine interface, drip tray, and overflow. 

  • Clean and sanitise your machine handle. 

  • Clean and sanitise the ice cream exit point. 

 

*All sanitiser used should be food safe (i.e, D10) 

*You should be cleaning with detergent and sanitiser to ensure each part is fully clean. 

*You should be cleaning your machine regularly throughout the day in addition to your standard opening and closing procedures
