Café Manager

Location: Dundrum

Full time role

This is a new & exciting cafe/dessert bar venture based in Dundrum, Co. Dublin. We're looking for an experienced Manager who will lead a dedicated, creative and hard-working team to bring an exciting new concept to life. You will  have all the support & training required to be the best in class and will be working with our existing teams across operations, HR, Finance and Marketing. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the cafe, delivering a best-in-class customer experience for all customers .

  • Be responsible for ordering cafe beverages and supplies, stock taking and management, menu planning and overall daily financial reporting.

  • Continued supervision of the menu/product offerings to ensure high quality level is maintained.

  • Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning and troubleshooting and liasing with the service department when needed.

  • Assist the Marketing Manager with promotional events and activities.

  • Recruiting, training, motivating and supervising café staff.

  • Preparing weekly work schedules for staff , approving & submitting time sheets to HR and finding suitable replacements in cases of staff absence.

  • Ensuring that all café expenses are within budget and identifying ways to decrease operational costs.

  • Receiving delivered café supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.

  • Report  around  key KPI’s on a weekly basis  – Customer numbers, Sales figures & stock management to the financial team .

Qualifications

  • Skills in both management and administration in order to lead a team, allocate resources and make intelligent decisions about the best strategies for running the Café .

  • Managerial experience working in the food or hospitality industry.

  • High level of speciality coffee experience 

  • Customer service skills and knowledge

  • High level of attention-to-detail

  • Good level of literacy and numeracy
